The Suzuki Method Isn't About Violin.

I launched a Substack two weeks into a teaching sabbatical.

I own, operate, and teach Suzuki violin here at Anderson Music Studio, Riverside’s premier destination for violin lessons. August was the first of a six month sabbatical from teaching - 10 years in the making, and arguably overdue.

The lead-up to this teaching break was highly anticipated, not just by myself, but by most people in my life. “I’m so proud of you for doing this for yourself,” my friend CJ said to me a few weeks ago. “I’m curious how you’re gonna spend the rest of your sabbatical! Like, do you wanna go to Mexico?”
