You can catch Ms. Nissa for an interactive Violin Story Time across the western suburbs!
Story time always features a reading from a book in The Story Orchestra series.
Written by Katy Flint and beautifully illustrated by Jessica Courtney Tickle, the books in this series weave a story around the music of a major symphonic work.
At story time, children and caregivers will enjoy a reading from the series accompanied by LIVE performance of music from the score by Ms. Nissa!
After the story, stay to learn a bit about the violin, and try one out!
Some story time events are free at public libraries, and others are presented in tandem with other fabulous local business for a fee. Check the list below to see when you can join us!

Little Sprouts: Stories and Stretches with Strings
Join Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Nissa at the treehouse for a very special story time. Featuring a reading of The Story Orchestra: Carnival of the Animals, kiddos will enjoy an interactive story hour full of yoga, dress-up, and live violin music!
Violin Story Time at La Grange Park Public Library
Enjoy an interactive story time and violin demonstration for ages 3-6 with musician Nissa Anderson. Attendees will have the opportunity to play games and try out a real violin.
Pajama Party Story Time with Brookfield Mini Musicians
We are THRILLED to bring back a very special event - a pajama party and storytime for 3 - 7 year olds with the Brookfield Academy for Mini Musicians and Anderson Music Studio!
Join us on Friday, May 1st at 5:00 and/or 6:30 pm for an animal-themed Mini Musicians class. Then, let the sounds of the violin captivate you with our interactive story time.
We will read the Carnival of the Animals while Ms. Nissa brings Camille Saint-Saëns' famous music suite to life. Pajamas and animal costumes are encouraged!
We'll end the party with a violin petting zoo, a goodbye song, and an animal-themed goodie bag to take home.
